What is Bagh-e-Gul-e-Dawood?
Gul-e-Dawood is the traditional Kashmiri name for the chrysanthemum. Bagh-e-Gul-e-Dawood (literally meaning Garden of the Flower of David) is the Valley’s premier chrysanthemum theme garden.
Developed and curated by the Department of Floriculture, Parks and Gardens, Jammu & Kashmir in collaboration with agricultural experts, the garden was inaugurated by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to solve a major seasonal challenge: extending Kashmir’s tourism calendar beyond the summer months and giving travelers a powerful reason to visit right before winter sets in.
